Project Brief

About the client

The Ordinary is a skincare company that scrambles with its outdated website design that lacks personalization and does not provide a visually appealing user experience. To address the issue, they wanted to develop an app to replace the current scenario and revamp it to meet the customer's skin care needs and thus, enhance loyalty and engagement.  

I’m a user experience designer for The Ordinary App.  In this project my job is to investigate a specific group of users. These users are in their 20s and are interested in skincare routines and finding affordable alternatives to dermatologist prescriptions. 

 

My goal is to understand their needs and motivations for using the app, as well as their feelings, thoughts, frustrations, and engagement with it. To do this, I’ll use various research methods such as flow charts, journey maps, AB testing, and walk-and-talk interviews to gain a better understanding of their real-life situations.
